April 8 - Holliston 9 Hopkinton 10

The Holliston baseball team battled back from a 9-2 deficit to bring the game to 9-7in the 6th inning and to tie the game in the 7th 9-9. Hopkinton scored the winning run in the bottom of the 7th to win 10-9. Cato Lacroix led Hopkinton's 12 hit performance having four hits of his own. Sean Mayo kept the score within reach making a sensational play on a hard hit ground up the middle to record the 3rd out on a force play. Ben Levine pitched three plus solid innings in relief. The outfield defense was terrific throughout the game. Holliston next plays Monday at home versus Medfield.

April 7 - Holliston 12 Westwood 2

The Holliston Panthers opened their season with a 12-2 victory over Westwood today at Holliston High School. Cato LaCroix earned the victory on the mound pitching four solid innings striking out eight Westwood batters and giving up two hits. Holliston opened the scoring in the bottom of the first. Nick DeRosa (2 hits, 3 runs scored and 3 RBIs) hit a 3-run homerun. Westwood answered with a 2-run homerun in the second hit by their DH. Jake Frechette (2 hits, 3 runs scored, 3 RBIs) extended the Holliston lead in the bottom of the 2nd hitting a 3-run homerun. Grant Davis pitched the final three innings giving up no runs, striking out three and surrendering one hit. Holliston next plays Hopkinton Thursday at Hopkinton High School.
