The Holliston Panthers opened their season with a 12-2 victory over Westwood today at Holliston High School. Cato LaCroix earned the victory on the mound pitching four solid innings striking out eight Westwood batters and giving up two hits. Holliston opened the scoring in the bottom of the first. Nick DeRosa (2 hits, 3 runs scored and 3 RBIs) hit a 3-run homerun. Westwood answered with a 2-run homerun in the second hit by their DH. Jake Frechette (2 hits, 3 runs scored, 3 RBIs) extended the Holliston lead in the bottom of the 2nd hitting a 3-run homerun. Grant Davis pitched the final three innings giving up no runs, striking out three and surrendering one hit. Holliston next plays Hopkinton Thursday at Hopkinton High School.
