April 28 - Holliston 5 Bellingham 4


The Holliston Panthers won yesterday's Tri-Valley League game versus Bellingham 5-4. The game went back and forth with the lead changing five times throughout the game. Holliston won the game in a walk-off fashion on a 2-out single by Cato LaCroix scoring Connor Capobianco. Cato LaCroix earned his second win of the season on the hill. He threw a complete game striking out ten, walking two and scattering five hits. The last six outs recorded in the sixth and seventh innings were via the strikeout. The hit attack was led by three seniors who had two hits a piece - Matt Collari, Connor Capobianco and Matt Cabral. Bellingham scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning with two outs to take a 4-3 lead. In the bottom of the frame, Matt Collari led off with a single and stole second. Connor Capobianco was hit by a pitch. Jonny McLean successfully sacrificed the runners to 2nd and 3rd with one out. The Bellingham pitcher bared down to strikeout the next Holliston hitter setting up Cato LaCroix's game winning RBI line drive single to right field. The team earned its second win of the week and next play in Ashland on Friday, April 30 at 3:45pm.
